At Urban Nest, we typically like a good bargain or a resourceful look-alike; however, we are not afraid to be inspired by luxurious furnishings and accessories. One of our favorite sources for lighting inspiration is Shades of Light, based right here in Richmond. Most of the things I am drawn to at this posh lighting boutique are out of my price range; but, I love to browse their displays and examine the quality and craftsmanship that make these pieces so special. Here are some of my favorites right now:

How clever are these graphic candle sleeve covers? What a great way to add some detail to a chandelier or sconce.
Here are the links to the images on my wish list:
a. Jonathan Adler Ceiling Light
b. Studded Ceramic Table Lamp
c. Modern Classic Sconce
d. Vintage Spindle Table Lamp
e. Seahorse Floor Lamp
f. Circlet Ceiling Light
g. White Silhouette Urn Table Lamp
h. Kaarskoker Candle Sleeve Covers
i. Martha Stewart Veneto Glass Chandelier – 9 Light
Shades of Light carries a wide range of styles from antique to modern. With just a few retail locations, including one right around the corner from my house, they primarily operate via catalog and online shopping. You will also see them referenced in lots of upscale decorating publications.
It’s definitely worth browsing, especially if your budget provides.

I love those candle covers. I new lighting store here in Cville sells them, but their hours were so restrictive (9-5, M-f), that I resorted to making my own with decorative paper from Caspari. It worked!
Add that little project to the list of things about which I need to blog.
I love every one of these lamps….great, stylish finds!
Your blog is such a nice place to visit. Thanks!
