I’ve mentioned before that we have more than our fair share of built in bookcases in our house. Filling all of the shelves in an aesthetically pleasing way is a big job that I’m still working on, and I’m always looking for good ideas. Here’s one that I love from design*sponge.
These books are from Mara Zepeda’s home. She is a freelance journalist and has her own calligraphy business, neither snow. I’m really tempted to contact her and see if I can hire her do some book covers for me. The other idea I’m considering is wrapping my book in white paper and printing some labels myself – not quite the same, but surely more economical. Here are a couple simple ideas I’ve come up with so far:
What do you think, should I keep pining for the calligraphy or try one of my own labels? Have any other ideas?

I LOVE THIS! Both the calligraphy and your templates! I think my fave of your templates is the first one. Oh my goodness I want the calligraphied book covers in my living room!!!! I wish I had a steady hand for calligraphy (sigh)…
I love the idea as well; however, I would choose #2 or #3 from your templates… #1 is my least favorite. The calligraphy would be great, but I’d choose the more economical and quite lovely labels
Great idea! Her calligraphy is so amazing…I wish I could read my own handwriting half the time.
I like #2 from your templates the best!
I love the brown paper… and the calligraphy. Maybe white labels on brown paper?
I saw an interesting idea somewhere recently..hmmm…was it here, perhaps? Anyways, the nester had colour-coordinated all her books so that all the red spines were together, then all the blues, and so on. It looked sooo effective- like an artwork in itself. And much less time consuming than having to cover all your books! How about that?
