One of my favorite blogs to keep up with is A Brooklyn Limestone. I actually think it’s one of the very first I started reading a few years ago when, by six degrees (perhaps fewer) of separation, I learned about Mr. and Mrs. Limestone’s fabulous renovation in Brooklyn. It was about the time that most of my friends were buying their first homes and there was lots of conversation about tearing down walls, renovating bathrooms, gutting kitchens, etc. While this Brooklyn limestone was (still is!) an exceptional undertaking, it was that much more fun to see what major renovations really looked like.
Well, jump ahead a few years and Mrs. Limestone has not only shared an amazing story of reinvention, but her design ideas, worldy experiences, wit and photography have become a must read for me and many, many others.
Here’s the thrill: a few weeks ago, Stefanie (a.k.a. Mrs. Limestone) announced that she would be willing to sell her photography to her readers in response to some online requests. These are photos she’s taken everywhere from South Africa to Coney Island. They are incredible snapshots of a life well-traveled and you simply can’t beat the price!
