Not a White Christmas

 UN_rs-1Yesterday I showed you a couple of color schemes I’m thinking about for my holiday decorations this year.  Well, here are the other contenders.  I still want something warm for the family room where we’ll be hanging out by the tree in front of the fire place.

Instead of a wintery scheme for the dining room, I’m considering this bold and rich combination:

{turquoise, kelly green, and gold}

What would you choose?

    I think a less traditional scheme is a lot harder to pull off simply because its harder to find the elements you’ll need in unusual colors.

    That said – I’m loving the teal and gold mix. Simply lovely. A nice plus to using that scheme is that you can mix and match those items down to road for other events.

    I also love the idea of doing the crystal letters as gift tags but I can’t seem to get the wire smooth enough so that it looks as good as Marthas. Anyone try that before and have some tips for me?

    I change it up every year, but I usually do tonal decor. Sometimes whites/creams, sometimes blues, sometimes greens, sometimes blue/greens. I love how it looks. I think doing a punch of color is refreshing.

    I love these two color schemes! I’d definitely choose them over the choices from the day before.
