I recently visited U-Fab, a relatively new discount fabric store in Richmond. Their goal is to have the lowest prices on fabric in town and I have to admit–they are quite good! It’s a “no frills” kind of shop, but I would definitely recommend checking out.

I was mostly looking at their upholstery weight fabrics, which is the bulk of what they carry, and easily found many choices for my current project.
Their services include custom upholstery and commercial work, upholstery repair, and custom upholstered beds so visit their web site or stop in the store for details. I don’t think you will be disappointed!

Thanks for the link, I love the button tufted piped job they did on their website. I’ve been craving such a top for a coffee table so I can convert it into an ottoman. Perhaps this will work.

I went to this store to find for fabric for my bedroom a few weeks ago. It is a GREAT store! I went the first time to browse, and the second time to match some Amy Butler fabric for my bedroom drapes (still waiting to be made)…It is definitely a great place to go for good fabric at a good price locally.
