I have been dreaming about this room by Sarah Richardson ever since I first laid eyes on it.

I’m a huge fan of grey and cream – a simple and clean color scheme made interesting by the layering of patterns and textures. I think I’ve mentioned before that I’m a fabric girl, and it’s the fabrics that make this room for me. In particular, I love the floral fabric in the curtains and pillows on the bed.
I dug up the source, Designer Fabrics Online, in hopes that I will find a way to use this fabric in my house. Unfortunately, it’s currently out of stock, but I will keep checking back. What’s really great about this fabric is that it’s double the usual width at 110 inches wide which makes it perfect for larger projects like a duvet cover or shower curtain, and it clearly makes beautiful curtains. Designer Fabrics Online has some other fun fabrics, too – it’s worth checking out.
She is one of my favorite designers too! It is so great that she lets us all in on her sources. Wish she could pay a visit to my house….
Great fabric! I love all of Sarah’s work. If you contact Designer Fabrics, they may be able to tell you when they expect that particular fabric back in and online (at least that’s what they do when I visit them in store).

I haven’t seen Sarah or her gang in the store (though I’m always on the lookout for them when I’m there!). But I have been lucky enough to have traded a few emails and talked in person to Sarah and Tommy. Its a wonder I didn’t pass out in front of her, haha!
Fun story: have you seen the modern floral fabric that Sarah used in her own nursery? The Designer Fabric folks said that fabric has been on constant reorder since Sarah first featured it on her show three years ago. That’s the Sarah effect for you
