Musical Artwork

I played a little game of musical artwork this weekend while a foot of snow came down outside. Stuck inside and staring at the same walls as the light changed across them throughout the day, I decided to shake things up a little.  By the way, “musical artwork” is not my idea — I read it recently, though I can’ t remember where, and it made so much sense as I was literally shuffling paintings, photographs and mirrors from one empty wall to another. And when I couldn’t find a suitable spot for a piece, I pulled it out of the game!

The success of this game was entirely dependent on these:

3M picture hangersNo nails, no holes, no patchwork. These removable hooks are the best!

This turned out to be one of my favorite new arrangements:

Musical artwork, I like it. I played musical decor bowls recently. I just need to practice the whole putting the object out of the game part.

  3. Thanks for the first-hand review on the 3M removable hooks. I’ve been curious about them ever since I saw them advertised at Christmastime. I’ll have to try them myself!

Just curious, are those 3M picture hangers reusable? I watched the demo at the 3M site and it shows how to hang them and how to remove them but it doesn’t say anything about re-hanging them.

      Hi Wanda,

They are totally re-usable. Each pack comes with a set of hooks and a set of two-sided adhesive strips. Each adhesive strip is single-use, but the hooks will last forever. You simply buy more adhesive strips and they are sold in replacement packs.

      The really are great!
