I’ve got two weeks until my due date and my husband and I are still trying to find a glider/rocking chair we like. We’ve been all over checking out chairs, but so far have come up empty handed. This past weekend my husband suggested we check out what Farmville has to offer, since they are known in Virginia for their furniture. Neither of us had shopped in town before, but had heard great things and it was a pleasant hour drive to get there. Needless to say – they have a TON of furniture shops/warehouses/showrooms to browse through…you could spend a whole weekend!
Unfortunately, we did not come home with a glider, just a new rug for our bedroom. But, we will definitely be going back for any future furniture needs. There are so many choices and the prices are quite friendly. I recommend going when the weather’s relatively nice. You can stroll through town and hit all of the stores on foot. Where is farmville?
I’ve been meaning to go down there to check Farmville out. I was under the impression that the showrooms were just a mish mash…your pictures prove otherwise! I’m really excited for a road trip now!

Farmville is a very small town about 1 hour southwest of Richmond, VA. It’s best known for Longwood College and it’s furniture.

There is a wide variety of presentation in all of the showrooms/warehouses. Some do feel very cluttered and you kind of have to search through things, but there are definitely a lot set up like the pics shown. I wish my house were bigger…I could have come home with a truckload of goodies!

Only 2 weeks left! I can’t believe it. My only advice on the glider/rocker is to get a chaise lounger. I can’t tell you how many times I fell asleep in my rocker through 3 babies. Make sure it is comfy! Hope to see you before your due date!
