Where is Martha?

I was at Home Depot this past weekend and was curious to see if the new Martha Stewart paint line was available…not yet. The Ralph Lauren display (that she is replacing) was still intact with no signs of removal. When is she coming? Does anyone know? The launch date is March of 2010, so I guess they have until the end of the month to reveal all those new colors…all 280! I can’t wait to see what is available and what colors I can put to good use in my house. Do you all have plans to check out her new line? What fun painting projects will you be doing this spring?

I did the same on Friday of last week. No change in Madison, WI. I guess it isn’t ready to launch. I will be checking it out. I used to look at her line at Kmart, when I lived near a Kmart.

I am planning to paint my daughter’s furniture, which I am handing down to my youngest. I am also buying new furniture for my oldest. I am creating a nursery that will only be filled in color by the furniture and accessories because I rent.

    Can’t wait.

Thanks for the heads up everyone! Sounds like she should be making her appearance soon here in Richmond…they do say things are slower in the south:)

Rosa – send in some pics of your painted nursery/kids furniture when complete. Sounds like a fun project.
      Cheers! Stephanie

  2. She’s here in Las Cruces, NM! I grabbed one of each swatch on Saturday :) My Home Depot said they had to wait until they sold the rest of their Ralph Lauren paint before they could put Martha out! Maybe youu can ask your HD if they pull some out for you?

  3. We have the new line here in Chicago and the colors are lovely. I actually purchased the MS paint base and had it matched to a Benjamin Moore color. Unfortunately, I was underwhelmed with the quality of the paint. It’s great that it’s low voc, low odor (and it truly is) but the paint is rather thin and didn’t coat well. I ended up having to use three coats in my kitchen.

It’s well priced though (at least here) for a low voc paint.

The line is out up here in Boston- I went last weekend and stood there and took one of each of the paint chips. The employee in the paint department looked at me like I had 10 heads and I just looked back and was, you dont sell the paint deck for these colors and I need them! :)

  7. I didn’t know Martha was replacing RL. I suppose I better steal paint chips now…I had bad results when I used her K-Mart line. I hope this has better coverage and colors.

Last weekend I saw it at our home depot in San Diego. I actually have a paint swatch in front of me as I am trying to figure out what I want to paint our nursery.
