Last fall our front porch got a little makeover. Thanks to a rickety railing, our porch went from this:
to this:
We replaced the deteriorating iron railing with white painted wood, and while we were at it, we changed the door from bright green to a soft blue.
Now I just need to take down the winter wreath and get our porch ready for spring! I’d like to add 2 outdoor rugs, one under the table and chairs on the left and one under the porch swing on the right. I’m also planning to make a new cushion and pillows for the swing to freshen it up a little bit.
I’ve come up with three rug and fabric combinations that I really like, but I’m having trouble pulling the trigger on one of them.
I’m leaning towards option 2 paired with white impatiens and red geraniums… What would you choose?

I looove #1, especially the birds and the dark navy fabrics and the rug. Love the rug.
I also love #1!
I like them all but I like option 3. Love the color of your door… do you mind sharing?
Thanks, Kat! The door is Oval Room Blue by Farrow and Ball (although, I had it matched at Sherwin Williams).

I was going to say 1 or 3 because I absolutely love the diamond pattern in the rug. All of them are great but I really like that design:)

My vote is for #3 – love the stripe color combo, especially the orange pop! Please post photos of what you decide.
I like option 3, #2 is my second pick. I think either one would be great accents to your soft blue door.
One more thing….Garnet Hill is offering 20% off and free shipping – they have Dash and Albert rugs! Where is the multi striped fabric from?
Thanks for the heads up, Karen! I will definitely check out Garnet Hill. The striped fabric is from Williams and Sherrill here in Richmond.

i vote for #3 – i love the pop of orange as well!
I love the third. Something about the neutrals and the pop of the colored one. Perhaps with the first rug, though…
I love #1! Or #3 with the wide blue stripes instead of the multicolor stripes.
Love No. 2! Light blue and red are such a great color combo!
I vote for 3. I can’t give you a reason why except it just appeals to me.
#2 and I do this stuff for a living! Great combinations!
